تحديد وقياس الأطفال الموهوبين

شاركت هذه الورقة البحثية موضوع الأطفال الموهوبين ففي مجال التربية الخاصة، دائما ما يتم تجاهل الأطفال الموهوبين من أجل الأطفال ذوى الإعاقات، فالأطفال الموهوبون يحتاجون لانتباه خاص وتربية خاصة بمساعدتهم تقرير إمكانياتهم، مما يعود عليهم بالنفع هم والمجتمع، ولكن يتم تقديم هذه التربية والتعلم فمثل هؤلاء الأطفال تحتاج أن تعرف الكثير منهم، وبالتالي ذكرت هذه الورقة بعضا من تعريفات الموهبة والخصائص التى تميز الموهوبين عن غيرهم ، كما تناولت الورقة أسباب الموهبة وعملية تنقية هؤلاء الأطفال، علاوة على ذلك، ذكرت الورقة أهمية القياس وأن هناك أطفال موهوبين لا تقدم إليهم الخدمات المطلوبة والبرامج التربوية وذلك بسبب الإخفاق في تحديدهم ، وأظهرت الورقة كيف أن الآباء والمعلمين يستطيعون لعب دوراً أساسياً فى قياس قدرات هؤلاء التلاميذ مستخدمين أدوات ومقاييس مختلفة، وأظهرت الدراسة أيضا، كيف أنه يمكن استخدام الأساليب الرسمية وغير الرسمية فى تحديد وقياس هؤلاء التلاميذ. وفى النهاية، تقدمت الورقة باستنتاج.

Giftedness : Identification and
 Assessment of  Gifted Children

    This paper addressed the issue of gifted children. In the field of special education, gifted children are being ignored and denied for the sake of children with disabilities. Gifted children need special attention and special education to help them foster their potential; it is for the good of them and for the good of our society. In order to provide such education for these children, we need to know more about them. Therefore, this paper stated some of the definitions of giftedness and the characteristics that define and distinguish these children from others. In addition, it addressed the causes of giftedness and screening of such children. Moreover, the paper stated importance of  assessment, and how may students who were gifted not provided with the needed services and/or educational programs because of not being identified. The paper showed how parents and teacher could play a major part in assessing these students using different tools and measures. It showed how formal as well as informal measures should be used to identify and assess these students and finally it ended with a conclusion.
